Inspiring the next generation

Scamp Theatre was founded in 2003 and is run by Louise Callow, ably assisted by Teresa Burns.

Scamp bring a range of theatrical live performance to audiences of all ages, focusing on the imaginative adaptation of children’s literature. With productions touring constantly, Scamp Theatre are passionate about engaging new audiences and inspiring the next generation of theatre-goers.  Looking ahead to 2018, we are really excited to be working with a new author to bring a brand new adaptation to the stage.

Favourite children’s book?  As a child I LOVED the Anne of Green Gables books. These days it's all about reading to my son, and we're at the stage of anything with a flap to lift or the 'That's not my...' books

Most memorable theatrical experience?  When I diversified my company to include theatre.  We've never looked back.

Favourite children’s book?  There are so many but it has to be Harry Potter.  I grew up with Harry and his friends at Hogwarts throughout my school years, eagerly awaiting each new book

I can’t live without… My work.  I'm so lucky to have found something I love doing so much that it's hard for me to switch off, I'm a bit of a workaholic.
